"Taneleer Tivan, a.k.a. the Collector, has brought his unique collection of fantastical fauna, relics and species from across the cosmos to earth for the very first time. He offers to show you his newest acquisition… the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, Drax and Groot are held captive in electrified glass cases that dangle perilously over an abyss.
When Rocket escapes, he commandeers a gantry lift and enlists your help on a harrowing mission to rescue his fellow Guardians. Prepare to unleash intergalactic mayhem from the top of the fortress to the bottom, as one of Star-Lord’s awesome mixtapes blasts a classic tune!"
Magic Facts
--The Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout is the tallest building in the park.
--The collector collects sounds if you listen.
--In the scanning room to the right, there is a tower of terror bellhop hat.
--Peter Quill’s Walkman is in the scanning room cases. Rocket steals it as you exit if you hang back to watch.
--The Old Matterhorn Yeti can be seen in the queue room.
--In the lobby, there is a cage housing Figment from Disney World’s EPCOT.
--In the scanning room to the left, you can see the prosthetic leg Peter steals in the first movie.
--The sign has some stollen letters. Rocket used these letters to spell 'Mission' on the ride's marquee.
Review
While Tower of Terror was my favorite ride, I actually LOVE this new revamp! The drops feel smoother and I really enjoy seeing the Guardians in the short clips inbetween drops. Also, each ride will have a different video sequence and/or song which makes it fun.
If you have someone in your party who does not want to ride, I suggest they at least wait in line with you because there are many neat things to see! They have exits right before the elevators for those who do not wish to ride.
