"Strike yer colors! Your adventure begins in a shadowy bayou, where you’ll board a weathered barge. Plunge down a waterfall in the dark and float through the spectral world of Pirates Grotto. Dead men tell no tales—but they guard their treasure for all eternity."
Magic Facts
-- In the railings above Pirates of the Caribbean, there is a WD and RD for Walt and Roy Disney. This is because the apartment above pirates was meant to be their home when they visited DL. Now, it is a hotel room for giveaway winners.
-- Alice Davis, the costume designer for pirates, wanted to make 2 of every costume. She was denied, but she did it anyway. When there was a small fire a few months later, she had the spare. They now keep three of any Disney costume.
-- There is a tree by the entrance to Pirates of the Caribbean that has been there so long it has grown around an anchor prop that was placed there.
-- There are over 400,000 pieces of gold in the treasure room of Pirates of the Caribbean.
-- The voice of the taking skull wrote the lyric and dialogue for the ride.
-- In the treasure room on Pirates of the Caribbean, the Aztec chest used in the film is hidden in the corner.
-- The skull on the captain’s bed in Pirates of the Caribbean is a real skull.
