"Gaze at Sleeping Beauty Castle and venture inside to relive scenes from the beloved Disney classic. Explore winding passageways where the epic tale of Princess Aurora is told through spellbinding dioramas."

Magic Facts

-- At the entrance to the castle walkthrough is a drinking fountain with a statue of Aurora and Prince Phillip. If someone drinks from each fountain at the same time, it will play music.
-- As you pass under the castle, if you pause in the archway you can hear Jiminy Cricket.
-- The castle was built backward from what it was originally intended. The story goes that Herb Ryman was going in to see the model. Realizing that it was in 2 sections (upper and lower) and he picked up the upper section and turned it around. The other guys in the room told him to quickly turn it around because Walt was coming any second and wouldn't like it that way. Right then Walt walked in, liked it, and said to do it just like that. (There are many, many different versions of this story).
-- The gold circle in the castle is not the center of the park, that is a myth. It is a marker for when Imagineers were building the castle.
-- The drawbridge of the castle is actually functioning, but it has only been raised twice: once on opening day and again after the Fantasyland remodel.

Review

This is a fun little break from the sun and crowd. I also just love being able to say I've walked in Sleeping Beauty Castle!
